The Sixth Month of Pregnancy

The sixth month is the end of the Second trimester. So now you are just a few months away to hold your little one in your hand. At this time you are noticeable to others that you are pregnant. Your morning sickness will subside and you will start experiencing some different symptoms. Your breasts may start producing colostrum — tiny drops of early milk. This may continue throughout the rest of your pregnancy. from sixth month onward you should check with your doctor if you feel any pain or something different.
It is better to avoid all the junk foods and stick to cleanly cooked home-made stuff. Ensure that a continuous supply of folic acid, iron and calcium is being taken as the baby needs nutrients to develop completely. 

Symptoms of Sixth Month

  • Constipation and Indigestion
  • Heartburn
  • Swelling on your feet – Edema
  • Backache
  • Snoring
  • Backache
  • Itching around abdomen
  • Problem in sleeping
  • Varicose Veins

Body Changes

At six month your belly will start showing, therefore, you look like a pregnant woman. Your weight already will start increasing. now your uterus pushes the abdomen.
The common concerns ladies face during the sixth month of pregnancy are backaches,leg pain,foot cramps, swelling along with indigestion, constipation

Baby Development

Now your baby is getting stronger day by day as she is almost full grown. Lungs and organs are still developing. Now you can feel your baby kicking you as she is getting mature day by day. Baby weight and length are increasing day by day. She can also sense the light and darkness. The face of the baby is completely grown. Hair growth depends upon genital some babies are grown with lots of hair while some are completely bald.

  • Urine Test
  • Blood pressure test
  • Weight measurement
  • Examine fetus size and position
  • Keep track of your blood sugar before and after every meal. High blood pressure may lead to some problem
  • Uterus height
